Eclipse’s Strong Offense Not Enough To Secure Win Against SW Snipers

The base paths were crowded today for both offenses in a high-scoring game where SW Snipers – Salazar came out on top against Eclipse, 26-8.

The Eclipse struggled to contain the high-powered offense of SW Snipers – Salazar, giving up 26 runs.

SW Snipers fired up the offense in the first inning, when Liam L’s wild pitch allowed one run to score.

In the bottom of the first inning, Eclipse tied things up at one when Nolan G singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

SW Snipers pulled away for good with nine runs in the second inning.

Eclipse put up five runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught by Eclipse was led by Jimmy M, Nolan, and Owen P, all driving in runs in the frame.

SW Snipers’ pitching went four innings, allowing eight runs on eight hits and striking out five.

Liam led things off on the mound for Eclipse. He allowed eight hits and ten runs over two innings, striking out two. Nolan and Owen entered the game as relief, throwing one inning each.

Eclipse racked up eight hits on the day. Nolan, Owen, and Jimmy each had multiple hits for Eclipse. Jimmy, Owen, and Nolan all had two hits to lead Eclipse. Eclipse tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Nolan led the way with two.

SW Snipers – Salazar tallied 15 hits on the day and ran wild on the base paths with 13 stolen bases.
